Each reader is provided with a yearly Missal and a calender showing their reading dates for the year. This allows each person to plan to be available on the given dates. When they are unavailable they can make suitable arrangements by swapping their date with another reader. If no suitable replacement can be found Fr. Michael or Fr. Sean should be informed.

Readings should be well prepared and understood. The Missal is a great help in this regard as it explains the theme and context of the readings.
